I have set up 2 mikrotik routers (RB2011UAS) with openvpn tunnel. No more tears
Everything is working like a charm!
So it's m0n0 bug in some chain.

Or a configuration error. You never let us look... And since many others have it working well, and you worked for most systems, I am still leaning towards that.
