m0n0wall Forum - Captive Portal SLOW on Win (XP) machines

Hi all,

I encountered a very Weird issue on a m0n0wall running on am Soekris 4801-50
(v. 1.231). I have captive portal turned on on one of my interfaces using all default
settings, local auth, just one user and I see the captive portal page (containing one
(small 40K) jpg) loading VERY slowly or not loading at all (no redirect ?) on a WINDOWS
machine (using eithet ie or FireFox). Connecting a mac everything seems to run
smoothly... (even if I run win (2000) in a virtual machine on this mac). So I suspect
a problem in the lower layers of communication (ethernet or tcp/ip level).

Any ideas here ?? It is just so weird, tested it with a couple of different windows
systems and all have this same behaviour it seems...

Any hint will be appriciated !

using FireFox I do not think this is the same problem here.
