I have been trying to build an image from scratch using the available scripts Go.sh etc etc

It all goes well right up to 3patchtools.sh, where I get asked what file to patch (this happens at the point of patching the syslogd.c.patch - if I type in syslogd.c.patch I get a number of failed hunks and the script ends.  If I continue to follow the remainder 2 scripts, build an img and flash it onto an alix board, I get the console error free, and can assign vr0/vr1 and can set the lan IP, but I cannot ping anything nor can I get to the gui (with or without DHCP enabled on the lan.

I am reasonably new to this, learning much about FreeBSD at the same time, so can anyone tell me is there anything i am doing wrong.

Using FreeBSD8.2 if thats of any use.

you have an incomplete build.  you need to resolve the error in the script.  I have posted on the other thread on this subject, install all your sources.
