Thank you for reading and possibly responding.

We are building a moderate monowall box and were thinking of using these  Intel PWLA8492MT 10/ 100/ 1000Mbps PCI/PCI-X PRO/1000 Dual Port Server Adapter, which are based on the     Intel ® 82546 Controller/Processor.

The FreeBSD site hardware compatability list shows 82546EB as approved.  Can someone please confirm that the 88546EB would be use-able in a monowall setup.

I'm not sure that you would get the latest stable working with those, being based on FreeBSD 4.11 the supported hardware is a bit limited for newer hardware. You might have better luck with the current betas that run on FreeBSD 6.2.

It'll probably work in either 1.2 or 1.3, but it'll definitely work in 1.3.
