I'm a little new to monowall and all that it can do.....I'm having some difficulty forwarding a HTTPS port (443) to a Windows 2003 Server running IIS on ip 192.168.177.10. Here is what i have done:

1) setup a NAT rule which says:

--IF--  --Proto-- -Ext Port-       --NAT IP--            --INT Port--
WAN  TCP/UDP  443 (HTTPS)  192.168.177.10  443 (HTTPS)

And i've checked marked the option that says "Auto-add a firewall rule to permit traffic through this NAT rule"

2) I have changed the webGUI port to work on port 444 over https and it works fine.

When I open a web browser and try to access the Win 2003 server on the local lan I get a response over port 443.
When i try to open the same page from an external network i get no respone. Also when I do a port scan on ShieldsUp, port 443 is reported as "Stealth".

What can i be missing here? Anyone have any idea?

Thanks

remove both the rules and nat and place them back with TCP only as 443 is only using TCP

also check where the firewall rule is placed. if you happen to have a deny rule it might be placed one line under it. remember the firewall runs line by line from top to bottom so the order is important.

how is your m0n0wall connected to the internet? do you have a modem what is blocking inbound ports?
