I've just configured a generic PC with hard disk generic-pc-1.231.img
It starts to boot OK, gets the litte spinning thing ... |/-\| ... then goes into a furious loop displaying numbers and stuff too fast to read. Any clues?

more info ... it works fine with CD-rom & floppy installation. It's just the hard disk install that misbehaves

That's a BTX loader problem. Most likely caused by a BIOS bug, can you upgrade your BIOS?
