I have:
192.168.50.x<LAN>MONOWALL<WAN>208.67.216.X
I have a 1:1 nat that links 192.168.50.31 <-> 208.67.216.230
from another internet connection I can access 208.67.216.230
from a client on the 192.168.50.x network, i can access 192.168.50.31

But from the internal 192.168.50.x lan I cannot access 208.67.216.230!

Is this a firewall rule, or do i need to add a route somewhere? I need to access the external ip as there is a quirk in how the application I'm accessing works.

Thanks for reading!

I see this, but can I use this for an IP address or just a domain name? I need to be able to ping  208.67.216.230 from the 192.168.50.x subnet, I can see how to ping server.dom.com and have it resolve to 192.168.50.31 but can i ping 208.67.216.230 and have it resolve to 192.168.50.31? this is because of a web app, when you go to it's IP (internal or external thru NAT) it sends you an activex program with the external IP (208.67.216.230) built in, when the activex finishes loading, it will try to connect to that ip. so from the WAN side it works ok, from the inside it fails.
Thanks!

Only domain names, if you're using IP's internally you have to use the internal IP's.

is there anyway to add this "bounce" feature to m0n0wall?

If you have to ask, the answer is probably no.  Grin  It would have to be something you would figure out and implement.
