Hi,

I am trying to setup up m0n0 to passthrough PPTP clients to a remote PPTP server.

Am I correct in saying that, at the present time and version 1.231, m0n0 wall supports:
One Client---->Local m0n0wall---->Internet---->Remote firewall (Cisco in my case)---->Windows 2000 VPN PPTP Server
(192.168.1.1)                                                                                                                   (10.0.0.5)

And does NOT currently support:
Many Clients---->Local m0n0wall---->Internet---->Remote firewall (Cisco in my case)---->Windows 2000 VPN PPTP Server
(192.168.1.1-6)                                                                                                                   (10.0.0.5)

I have read many many posts in the forum and archives about this but there does not seem to be a definitive answer.
ie - http://forum.m0n0.ch/index.php/topic,140.0.html

Is this a known limitation to m0n0wall's GRE implementation only, or GRE in general?  Other firewalls out there all seem to support multi passthrough.  Unfortunately for me, switching to IPSec is not an option as we are trying to connect to a global headquarters where all other satellites are already using a working PPTP implemntation, albeit not using m0n0.

Can anyone confirm that m0n0 does NOT support multi PPTP client passthrough from its LAN to a remote PPTP server at this time?

Been using m0n0wall for almost 2 years now and love it but it would be a shame to have to go to the commercial guys to get this working.
Thanks

The definitive answer is my post in the thread you linked.

It's m0n0wall-specific, but also specific to many other firewalls/NAT implementations.

Multiple public IP's (one per PPTP client) is the only work around.
