Hi guys!

for over a year I had m0n0wall running on a usual pc with the generic-version. Now I bought a soekris net4501 board so that I can switch over to a more energy-saving solution.

So I saved the configuration of the pc and loaded it on the new soekris machine. But after that point I had no more access on the soekris. The webinterface wasn't accessible anymore. (Of course I copied manually the general setup-, lan- and wan- configuration from the pc to the net4501 before I loaded the configuration file.)

So, now my question: Is it not possible to load the configuration files of a generic m0n0wall version onto an net45 version?

And if yes, what do I need to do?

Thx!

you need to re-assign your interfaces (assuming your old firewall didn't have sis0, sis1, and sis2, and assigned exactly the same). aside from that, everything else will restore just fine.
