Hello All,

I currently have my M0N0Wall server configured to use PPTP for remote users to get into the network.  I also have an internal windows DNS server.  Every time a user comes in DNS resolution does not work and only connecting via an ip address works only not by DNS.  I currently using cable modem and on the general page I have the external DNS servers listed along with Allow DNS server list to be overwritten  by DHCP/PPP on WAN checkmarked.  Is that the problem maybe.  Let me know, would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael

You should have your Windows DNS server listed first in the General page, and uncheck the "allow override" box. Yes, m0n0wall does have it's own DNS caching system, but force it and all of your users to use your Windows server.
