For a few weeks i run a Apple server now and i kind of was forced to migrate the DHCP and DNS services from Monowall to Apple server. Not a bad thing ofcourse. But it lays extra weight on the CPU and RAM.

Previously Monowall handled all that and it worked quite nice. Now my *old* PowerMac G4 handles it. And also this works fine. But it would be better to spread the things a bit i think. Especially since Monowall is superstable on my Soekris 4480. The Apple server with its many uses as of yet isn't as stable yet... Some services like AFP tend to hang on Osx 10.5 Sad

Anyway, to make things short: It would be nice to see LDAP support in the Monowall DHCP service.

This would mean a mere addition in options and not a complete OD or Ldap service to be added. Just a few options to point DHCP clients in the right direction.
