If I bridge the LAN and opt1 I havde network between the two interfaces, but the opt1 can't access the internet or the m0n0wall via webGUI.
If I set the LAN to 192.168.0.1 and the opt1 to 192.168.1.1 both have internet, but no network between the two interfaces.
I'm running 1.3b8 by the way on an alix2c1 (3 x LAN)

to have both abilities, bridge opt1 with LAN like you did originally, and then create a firewall rule to permit traffic through the opt1 interface. Default is to block all traffic (i.e: no rules set)

For my setup, I just created a new rule and permitted all traffic through it. Works a charm.

I tryed it and my opt1 still can't connect to the internet, but it can connect to the LAN Pc's.
opt1 can't ping or login the m0n0wall, but it can ping anything els on the network.
Tho opt1 is a WiFi card running in "hostap" mode. Do you think i need to change it to "IBSS" or "BSS" mode?

...not sure if the mode it's running in would have any effect on it being able to connect to clients on the LAN interface but not being able to ping the m0n0wall machine or make outgoing connections on the WAN interface.

I use my opt1 as a wireless interface as well, although it's not actually a wireless card so I don't have much help to offer you in that regard...

I'm using an actual Access Point (Netgear WGT624 router with DHCP and all routing features disabled) that's simply linked via a PCI NIC (opt1) to port #1 on the wifi router.

Originally, my m0n0wall machine only had a simple 2-NIC setup, and I went searching high and low for a PCI wireless card with a supported chipset. Luckily, I couldn't find one suitable enough, because as it turns out, it's been recommended that if you're interested in using wireless in a production environment (aka you want it to work and work well), you're better off getting a real access point... My Netgear WGT624 only cost me $24 CAD (refurbished, in-store sale @ TigerDirect.ca - not affiliated)

I'm sure someone else can pipe in and tell you whether or not the mode it's in matters. Personally, I think it has everything to do with the firewall rules that are set. You have to specify in Firewall Rules under the opt1 tab (or whatever you've named opt1) to permit all traffic originating from the opt1 subnet (which is the same as the LAN subnet, being that they're bridged - someone correct me if I'm wrong on that one). Everything else should be left at 'any'
