Can anyone help?

I have a WARP 1.22 Monowall, which is working great.

The problem I am having is with my Linksys WRTSL54GS ADSL2+/Wireless/Router, which I meanly use for the ADSL2+ Modem.

The problem I am having is when I try and access or port forward Monowall from the outside wold.

WRTSL54GS is set as follows:
IP: 192.168.0.1
LAN: 192.168.0.0
SUB: 255.255.255.0

Monowall is set as follows:
WAN: 192.168.1.100
IP: 10.0.0.1
LAN: 10.0.0.0
SUB: 255.255.255.0

I already have the WRTSL54GS firewall disabled and have set 192.168.1.100 (WAN: Monowall) in DMZ.

All port forwardings from WRTSL54GS go to 192.168.1.100 (Monowall) and Monowall in turn then forwards to the approprite service.

I have tried everything I can think of but it still doesn't work.

Can someone please put me out of my misery!  Embarrassed

whats stopping you from taking the WRTSL54GS out of the mix.

I read the specs for it on Linksys and you dont need it for your setup.

Go straight for your modem to m0n0wall

hi NXArmada - thanks for coming back so quickly.
Problem is that the WRTSL54GS is in fact the ADSL2+ Modem. I really don't want to have to fork out more money for a modem if the WRTSL54GS already has one inbuild - What'cha thinK?

I was reading the specs and did not see anything that stated that it was a modem.  Hows you connect to the Internet through it PPPoE, PPTP or something like that.

How is the WRT set up to connect to the internet.

m0n0wall has support for connect over PPoE.  Well version 1.23 but I do not know about 1.22

On the m0n0wall webGUI goto the WAN Interface and you can Configure the PPPoE setting to talk to your ISP.

On the WAN change the TYPE to PPPoE and then make the changes to the PPPoE Configuration section.

Sorry but I already screwed up. The Linksys is in fact a WAG54GS and the connection type is RFC1483 Bridged.

PS: sorry I wasn't more specific from the start but I just had to call my girlfriend to login to the router and give me the details as I am doing this from another location.

I read that there is an option in the WAG54GS called Bridge Mode Only.

"This mode is used only if you are using the Gateway (WAG54GS) as a bridge, which makes the gateway (WAG54GS) act like a stand-alone modem."

Think if you enable this option m0n0wall will become your firewall and router and the WAG54GS well just act like a modem and not a Router/Firewall.

The Bridge Mode Only option is located at the bottom of the WAG54GS Web GUI configuration screen.

All information I learned above was pulled from the Linksys UK site.  Here is a direct link to your model.

Yes, if you have a WAG54G v1 v2 or v3 you can simply set it up in 'Bridge Mode Only' in the basic setup page.

note that this disables any login features etc. DHCP, etc., wireless.

Once in bridge mode all you need to do is connect your WAG54G to m0n0wall through one of the 4 lan ports on the back to m0n0's WAN and set up PPPoE - you will be on the internet.

Note: if you want to access the modem when it is connected in bridge mode, you will need to follow http://wiki.m0n0.ch/wikka.php?wakka=AccessingModemOutsideFirewall instructions.

I have it running and works, although I do it a little differently. enables you to access the modem so you can see things like line statistics, change ADSL modulation.
