Installation

tried fairly old, and a brand new machine, tried using both adapters on each and neither is reachable by ping, nor can either ping anyone else.

When I invoke the 1st (or second, I can't remember) option to set the interfaces, though IT tells ME that one or both links is up at the beginning of the process, when I select auto detect it tells me that no link-up status is detected.

Any clues?

I'm using 1.2.3.

boot up with all the interfaces unplugged, then when you do the auto detection, plug in one of them when it tells you to.
