Per IP usage statistics would be nice.

Per IP usage statistics would be nice.

This could be done with Cacti. http://cacti.net/

M0n0wall could be made to have Interface Stats (Usage & Errors), CPU, Memory, individual IP (Usage), and even your Modem (Optional).

Would be nice.

The normal way to go about this is to get an SNMP capable switch such as a Cisco or an HP managed switch, and then run cacti. This will give you per port usage graphs. Use Cacti as posted above.

While this could be done with a decent switch, there are two issues:
1) that would measure total traffic, not external-only.
2) That totall disregards the OPT1 interface - so I wouldn't have accounting from my wireless users.
