Dear all,

Regarding the topic, it would like to see if possible a proposal for a new VPN/Internet/Telecom situation.

The reason why our company wants a new situation is:

  • To expensive (we pay €5000 a month)

We know have a bundle of 3 services:

  • Internet connection (2mbit up/down, HDSL/T1)
  • VPN Connection (1 site-2-site, 1 ipsec tunnel to customer, access for 25 vpn clients)
  • Telecom, goes all trough provider to reduce costs

Current hardware:

  • Cisco (all hardware is from provider)

Everything is managed by provider (wich is good, but in future I want to have more control over it)

My own proposal was:

  • First, Using m0n0wall appliance on NL and CZ sites and create a tunnel between them. But is this stable enough?
Because it is a company company connection, and it must be trustable. And for USA, to make a tunnel.
  • Second, I was reading about PFsense appliance, but don't know what exactly the difference is. And for USA, to make a tunnel.
  • Third, I was think about a hardware solution: on both sites a Linksys 10/100 8-port VPN Router(RV082) and for USA, to make a tunnel.

1.For internet provider: what kind of line do I need? and where to get in NL and CZ?
2.For telecom, i don't have a solution.

Please also put approximal costs for new proposal.

For current situation, a image is attached.

I hope to see any reactions, thank you very much.

With kind regards,

Niek
