Seems to run it very well, except it didn't auto detect the nic cards, had to manually install

You could read thru the driver source codes and see what the driver authors think about them. They leave their thoughts in the code via comment statements.

Or you could do a little search engine work to discover the same sentiments.

Maybe their stuff has improved recently, I wouldn't know. But basically, there are far better choices.

I use some Realtek NICs because I have them lying around and they aren't placed into service environments where the issues the driver authors complain about are present.
