Hi

My setup is this

main server runs ubuntu with VMware, M0n0wall runs on a virtual VMware server
Eth0 is for ubuntu on the LAN
Eth1 is M0n0wall LAN where ist providing DHCP for my LAN
Eth2 Is M0n0wall WAN thats connected directly to the ADSL

Problem is this:
About every 4 hour M0n0wall looses the ip or lease on the WAN ip and it takes M0n0wall about 30 min before its renewed with a new IP from my ISP
I have 2 DHCP IP´s from my ISP and i have testet it with a laptop on one of the ip´s and M0n0wall on the other, and the laptop has no problem and can keep the WAN ip for several days, while M0n0wall just keep going on and off every 4th hour

any suggestions to whats wrong ?

I'm assuming eth2 is bridged with the vmware virtual NIC.  Is it possible that the host eth2 is trying to hijack the DHCP address from your ISP?  If you haven't already, make sure that DHCP is disabled on your ubuntu eth2 connection.
