I run m0n0wall on a Nokia IP330.  With this and other models of the Nokia IP platform, for some reason, the MAC address appears to either be stored in software only, or simply unreadable by m0n0wall.  I basically use a different machine, manually enter the MAC addresses that were used with the old IPSO firewall software into the configuration xml file, re-upload it to m0n0wall, and move the drive back to the Nokia device.  It would be great if there was an option so that when m0n0wall only sees the MAC addresses as ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff, the "real" MAC addresses could be entered at the console.

Yes, It would be GREAT! I have the same problem!
When I reset configuration Nokia IP330 with Monowall through the web interface I loose all access to it and it's needed to dismount device (and open cover). Because Monowall doesn't read MAC address from NIC on Nokia IP330.
