Firewall/NAT

has anyone gotten ichat av to work properly behind a m0n0wall box?

i've just tried opening the ports detailed here (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1507) but it apparently didn't help. i'm not at the remote site to confirm, though.

should i try enabling the sip proxy?

All I can say is "no"; this has been frustrating me for years. I've been working a bit on trying to get NAT-PMP to work (yes, it's insecure), but there's something going wrong with the way miniupnpd adds port mappings to m0n0wall—they don't take effect. You can see that problem here:
