i enable captive protal service and test authen passed

but myclients unable solv dns

(i put my dns server at gerneral setting)

anyone can guide me for solve this problem

Your not running WinXP Sp3 perhaps...?

I have the same problem: before authentification, when I type a nonresolved adress, he doesn't redirect me to the authentifaction dialog.

I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 - at Vista it works.

ok, found the solution myself:

the dns at the ubuntu machine was in the WAN area ... not the ip of the monowall, as in Vista.
So I added the monowall-ip on the list of dns-servers on "general options" (i have "overwrite with dhcp/ppp" off), and this did it.
