Topic: PPTP to OPT 1 Interface via WAN Interface...help? :)  (Read 3267 times)

I've done some searching and have some up with nothing.  Sad  I'm running m0n0 1.3n13 on an ALIX board...no problems.

I've got 16 static IPs that I've got configured and working via a filtered bridge on OPT1 to WAN.

I've set up PPTP and it works, however it will only route to the WAN (Internet) and not any of the servers on my OPT1 interface, which defeats the purpose.

Cliff's Notes: Can access WAN over PPTP but not filtered bridged servers on OPT1.  What do I need to do in order to allow PPTP clients on the Internet (WAN) access to the servers on the other side of the filtered bridge (OPT1)?

Thanks,
Geoff

Anyone?  This isn't really an off-the-wall configuration...

I'm in the exact same situation. I can access the WAN and LAN from a PPTP session, but cannot access anything on the OPT1 interface which is set as a filtering bridge.

Any ideas?

Sorry that no one can help. I've got a similar setup and don't have any issues, but you did mention that OPT1 is a filtering bridge. Is there a firewall rule in place to allow packets between PPTP and OPT1 ?

Hi,

Right now, I have a general rule on my LAN, PPTP and OPT1 interface which allows all traffic

* * * * * Allow All Traffic

Even at that, I can't access anything on OPT1.

The only place where I have actual rules is on the WAN interface but I doubt this would affect PPTP.

The funny thing is that I can access my firewall's WAN IP (xx.xx.xx.60) which is on the same network as the servers behind the OPT1 interface (xx.xx.xx.65).

Also, I can ping my default gateway from the PPTP tunnel. The default GW is also on the same network as the WAN and OPT1 interfaces (above).

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
