Would be very nice to enter also hostnames instead of fixed ip addresses.
Very helpful for larger websites (google, microsoft etc.) with a bunch of ip's and also for dynamic addresses like dyndns hostnames.

thank you

I would also really like to see this added. I have a problem with paypal where that I use to take payments and their ip address keeps changing due to their loadbalancers. If we could enter a dns entry instead of an ip this would solve the problem completely.

Anybody know if this is likely to make it into the next release of m0n0?

Anyone know if it is possible to put allowed captive portal dns entries manually via the conf files?

The IP addresses in the CP definitely need to be IP-addresses.

The reason behind this is that if using domain-names, the firewall rules and configuration would need to check for changed dns on a regular basis. There isn't a decent event handler/scheduler currently build in M0n0wall so that's why we are using IP's (which sadly enough cannot be changed)

Then an IP range would be useful. At least then you can cover where the IP can float around for server farms that host domains.
