This feature (time/day of week based firewall rules) has been on the m0n0wall wishlist ever since I started to use M0n0wall in July 2004. To me it is an important and long awaited feature, it would prevent my kids from sneaking up in mid night to play on-line games. For it to work well there should be an option to make rules based on workstation IP-addresses, ie block certain compter from internet access based on time of day.

I choose m0n0wall back then because it at that time was the only router with traffic shaping. I ditched my old Netgear router for that precise feature. On the other hand the old cheap Netgear had blacklists (se other tread)  AND time of day rules...

Hello, monowall and pfsense are great firewalls. Now, take a look at

http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,3969.0.html

In a few days this project finished. Maybe crosscoding to monowall if monowall releases bsd6.2.
greetings from germany

This is likely something that'll be added in the rewrite Manuel is working on (see dev list for details), since it'll have a central daemon to handle things of this nature that can't be easily handled with the current system design.
