I have a m0n0 1.231 running on a net45xx box.
I would like to make a FULL backup of this system on another CF card.
What would be the best way to do this? (the size of the CF cards is different, the "original" is running on a 64mb card, the backup card is a 512mb card)

And (next step) what would be the best way to upgrade this 1.231 box to the 1.235 build?

Hi, I'd use a card reader and dd to make an image of the whole 64MB card. Then write the image to the 512MB card and see if it boots.

Don't see a reason why the update shouldn't work using the web gui... firmware update Wink

Thanks for the response.
I suppose that DD is a linux/bsd command?
(I'm running Windows on my desktop systems).

What I tried (and seemed to work) was simply copy an img file to the 512mb card (using physdiskwrite), then boot with that new card, using a crosscable I connected to the Soekris box and did a restore of a config backup I made before.  and then booted from the 512mb card.

dirk.
