hi... i'm new to monowall.  actually, i'mma newbie at networking for that matter.

i have a friend that has a security camera DVR setup at his business.  the DVR is on one of the switches behind the monowall box.  from a comp on the LAN, i'm able to type in the local IP of the DVR and able to view the security cameras.

my question is, how do i set it up so that it can be accessed from the internet.  i have the monowall setup with a static IP.  i just want to be able to type the static IP into a browser, and get to the DVR.

thanks in advance

Without going into the details you will have to set up NAT (network address translation) that maps a public IP address/port to a private IP address/port.  example the camera has ip address 192.168.1.20 and listens on port 80 on the LAN. You will have to map the public IP (say 20.0.0.1) port 80 to the private. Also set up the firewall rules accordingly
