Hi

Does anyone know if it's possible to use the Console/COM port on the Generic PC image - like the WRAP, Soekris etc?

I've put to motherboards into af 2U Rack-box with a PSU, CF adaptors etc.

I then has to options.

1. Mount a VGA + PS2 connector
2. Mount a console/serial SUB-D 9 connector

I like option 2 best if it is possible.

Anyone know if it is?

Best Regards
HC

HC, it is possible to use COM-port due to automatic fall-back on serial console if VGA and PS/2 interfaces disconnected on boot up. In case you want to use this option, you should install m0n0wall beta ver. 1.3b2

Cheers!

Thnx.

I'll have to consider if i want to use a BETA in production.

But most important is that it's working in "future" versions, so i'll keep the Console ports at my box ;-)

Thnx again!
