Hello All,

At one time OpenVPN was part of M0n0 Wall or being talked about, What chances do we have of having some sort of SSL VPN being brought into the development cycle of m0n0 wall ? .. Sure would like to see m0n0wall have a SSL based VPN solution ..

I am a big OpenVPN fan as well, and m0n0wall support would be good.

But, since OpenVPN does not have the NAT problems IPsec and PPTP does, placing it at the firewall endpoint is not as important.  Your OpenVPN server can easily be anywhere.

Currently I am running OpenVPN on a net4801 box (AstLinux with asterisk disabled), connected via a m0n0wall VLAN, all by itself in it's own subnet.  A full set of firewall rules is at my disposal.

Since I also use my OpenVPN connection for certain local WLAN connections, I can totally max out my net4801 (about 7Mbps), it is nice my m0n0wall net4801 is not effected.  Of course, remote access won't likely hit this limit.

Edit: Sorry, I intended 7Mbps, not 7MB/sec

I came across this little project that works very nicely. It's a web based ssl vpn, no client needed. I posted some information about it here:
