Hello – Hopefully you are able to help me

I have a 2 meg lease line with Demon
If I plug my laptop directly into it and assign the laptop 128.0.32.222 /20  with a gateway of 128.0.32.203 (ip of the router) and then set the dns to point to 158.152.1.43 (demon dns) I can get access  internet and I am able to browse the web. it was unable to access the web without settings the dns.

I would like to put a monowall firewall in behind the 2 meg line to provide site to site tunneling and vpn.

I have the lan interface set up and I can access the box fine.

I have set the wan interface to   128.0.32.222 / with a gateway of 128.0.32.203 and it is unable to connect to the web or ping internet ip addresses from the firewall. There is no option in monowall to set the dns on the wan interface.

Any help on this would be gratefully received

Got this working now - took my boss to point out the bleeding obvious that there were no network lights on the back of the router to realise that I needed either a crossover cable or a switch to get it running.
