Long time m0n0wall user.
I upgraded now I cannot seem to get the rules to apply to pass ssh traffic into my network behind my firewall. I've tried NAT, a firewall rule, them both. Yes the rules were "applied" but a quick NMAP from an external machine shows no open ports. At one time it would echo back the stats (m0nowall, free bsd, uptime, open ports ect) but now it come up that my host is down. When I try NMAP -PN it will show the host is in fact up but all ports are blocked. I can however seem to get the PPTP to work correctly and show up in a port scan. Internal to external traffic works fine - I'm just not able to get SSH or any other port open aside from PPTP. I even tried down grading with a fresh install.
What am I doing wrong here? Its got to be something simple.
