Currently m0n0wall falls back to the lowest possible setting (1280) for static IPv6 tunnels terminated in m0n0..

However, while that might work fine for most, it presents a performance issue if you want to push 20mbps+ thru the IPv6 tunnel :-)

Would be nice if it was possible to specify the MTU for the tunneling interface thru WebUI, insted of having to run exec.php with "ifconfig gif0 mtu 1480" after every reboot Smiley

Is it possible to place the required shell command into a downloaded copy of the config file and then upload that file to m0n0wall?

I had the same idea.. Using <shellcmd>, however since the gif0 interface apparently doesn't exist until a while after boot, the cmd executes too early..

At least that's what I'm guessing.. Attempted it, and it didn't work :S

But I figure the setting should be part of the tunnel setup on the WAN page.. Would make the most sense, no?
