Can't find anything on this.  Documentation has an empty chapter 12 (Captive Portal).

The menus seem self-explanatory, but what about the html code?  How did you all know what to put in your html file?  I've copied the example right from the configuration page, but I get returned to the authentication page if it authenticates successfully.  I do get the error page when I type the wrong credentials, however.  I've setup up the users and set authentication to "local".

The URL that is returned in the address field if I try, for example, to go to www.google.com is:

http://192.168.0.1:8000/?redirurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F

What am I missing?

The html code can be anything as long as it contains the basic parts of the form provided.  You said you have set the authentication to local and created users then it all should work.  Make sure the user accounts have valid expirations or no expiration when you test them.

Can anybody explain me error particularly?

When you enter the redirect URL make sure you put http:// in front of it! I found if I just entered www.google.ca it'd put me back to the splash page but if I put http://www.google.ca it would actually redirect me after auth.
