Ok, so here's the deal.  I built a new m0n0wall box with wifi, and I configured the WAP to bridge with the LAN.

Laptop connects fine and can access local resources, but can not go out on the internet.

If I connect to the network via ethernet, local and internet is there no problem.

Can I not bridge to LAN?  I have a domain controller that issues DHCP, dns, etc.

If I bridge to WAN wouldn't I lose local stuff then, including the domain controller?

thanks.

Why do you need to bridge it in the first place?  Set the WiFi up as a separate network, enable DHCP relay for the interface (Don't try mixing DHCP and DHCP relay on the Monobox, it doesn't like it, so stick with the windows box doing the DHCP)  Set your rules for where you want to get to.  away you go.

Because I want WAP clients to access local resources on the LAN.
