Currently I bought a wifi card the CM9, got it all hooked up, installed everything and now ... it won;t see it on M0n0wall ...

Version: 1.3b16 / net5501-70
I went to assign interfaces but all it has are the 4 ports ... nothing in addition ...

Anyone ran into this before ? any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This is what i bought:

Resolved - Found out that the board may be defective, tried on another net5501-70 and it worked.

It's behind the refrigerator.

I keed, I keed.
Make sure the card is seated properly in the socket.
Try the card in a laptop to verify it's good.
Try another card in the Soekris.
The CM9 is a pretty common card, so I doubt if there is problem with m0n0 and that card.
It doesn't show up in the bootup, which leads me to question if you've got it seated properly.

Orienz, have you made this work in your box?

You need to be running 1.3
The atheros drivers were not added until FreeBSD 5.x, 1.2 is based on FreeBSD 4.x

Works!  Thanks much for the solution.

Some notes:

1.  For CM9 users with one antenna: Use the right side connector; closest to the corner.
2.  I saw in some posts that the gzip upload of the 1.3 images can be problematic as the browser might try to unzip the image.  No issues with Crome 2.0.  Worked the first time.
3.  If bridging the opt interface onto another interface (ie. lan) don't forget to add a pass rule in the firewall config on the opt interface.
