Hi Guys

We are using M0n0wall at work as a filter between the wireless and wired networks. All traffic on the wirless networks has to pass via the m0n0wall. We have recently setup an Apple software update server however m0n0wall seems the block the wireless users from accessing it.

The update server uses default port 8088, i have added a rule into the firewall allowing but tcp and upd traffic using that port to pass though from whichever to whichever IP it wants to.

This still seems to be blocked though and I cannot figure out why, any ideas??

Thanks in advance.

is it multicast traffic? m0n0wall won't pass that because it has ipoptions and there's a hard coded rule to block anything with ipoptions. And it doesn't have an IGMP proxy to handle appropriate multicast routing.

For what it's worth, I use a Mac with m0n0wal, b16, and can update via wifi..

Don't know why yours doesn't work though.
