Does any know if m0n0wall will run or can be compiled to run on a routerboard?

No, they're MIPS processors, m0n0wall only runs on x86.

I'm using m0n0wall on routerboard RB200, it has a national sc1100 that is the same processor of the 48xx. I'm really sotisfied using mikrotick hw, the drawback that is a little bit more expencive than the soekris one.

Cheers
