Anyone know if m0n0wall will run on this?

Google it to see what I'm talking about since this forum says I can't post hyperlinks.

Basically I thought about plugging the cable modem into the USB port for the WAN, and use the onboard ethernet for LAN. I'm just wondering if there would any issue installing/running m0n0wall on it before I purchase it.

The plug computers are ARM based, not x86 based so neither m0n0wall or pfSense would run on them at this point in time.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. What a shame though - would have been a nice, cheap, and very compact m0n0wall solution. Smiley

Well, you can try DD-WRT or Open WRT instead.

For about the same price you can have a PC Engine board with x86 AMD Geode CPU :

You still need a case, a power supply and a compact flash (all this make this solution a little bit more expensive as plugcomputer).

Plugcomputer is a bit smaller but dont have two (or three) ethernet. Power needed for PC engines board is about 4-5W.
