Is the Intel® 82574L GbE LAN finally supported in the final version of 1.3?

I want to run m0n0 on this board. I tried about six months ago but didn't got it to work and started to run pfsense  Undecided ever since...

The drivers haven't changed in the past 6 months, probably need FreeBSD 7.x for that card.

Well, okay. But what's the planning on that one?

Or is it doable to integrate the driver manually without to much of a struggle?..

FreeBSD 7 I would imagine is years in the making. It took this long to get to FreeBSD 6 for the 1.3 release.

Otherwise a custom compiled driver for 1.3 would be your only route.

Perhaps the procedure outlined in this thread might help you?

It's not easy to back port drivers, or forward port m0n0wall to newer FreeBSD versions. Your only option with hardware that isn't supported in m0n0wall 1.3 is to wait for the next beta cycle and a newer FreeBSD base version.

In some cases, as with the link posted by ginggs, if the vendor provides a driver for FreeBSD 6.3 you can integrate it as shown in that thread. That's the exception though, that usually isn't an option.

Thought so. FreeBSD 9 is coming up, and 8 is commonly used right now.
7 was released some 2 years ago. One can say m0n0wall isn't to eager to jump the updating boat Undecided.
