I'm trying to upgrade generic-pc-1.235.img to generic-pc-1.3.img.  The upgrade appears to go fine and the system reboots automatically as it's supposed to but after the reboot the system page still says:

1.235
built on Thu Sep 4 21:49:29 CEST 2008

The 1.3 image file hash matches the hash on the download page e021820f84624877ee32b4d41608de61 so the image file is fine.  The log only contains entries written after the reboot and there's no mention of a failed upgrade attempt.

I've tried this a few times now without success.  Any help is appreciated.

When upgrading from generic-pc 1.2x, you must install 1.3b7 first before you install this image. Other platforms are not affected.

Wow, it's in nice big bold red print too. How the heck did I miss that?  Thanks.
