I was able to confirm with 1.3 Generic PC release.

The button doesn't change and the button doesn't work. It won't release the IP address.  Sad

I have the same issue. My WAN Interface keeps IP Adresse but connection didn't work.
I run the Generic Image on a WRAP.

As a workaround in the webGUI, go to Interfaces: WAN

1. Change Type to Static and hit Save, ignore the error message.
2. Change back to DHCP and hit Save, a DHCP Renew is done in the background and the WAN interface should get an IP-address.

That might be a workaround. On my m0nowall I'll do a reboot, but that is not what I expect.
The internet connection freeze an uptime of 2.4 days. And it is the same behaviour described here.
In addition I have an issue with my WLAN card in the same box.
According what I've seen bevor the former Beta works fine for me,

I have committed a fix for release/renew button not working and missing /usr/local/sbin/dhclient-script, you can  download from here

http://svn.m0n0.ch/wall/branches/freebsd6/phpconf/inc/interfaces.inc

and upload to your m0n0wall via /exec.php using the upload feature
and copy to the right location by executing the command

cp /tmp/interfaces.inc /etc/inc/

obviously this will be lost on reboot, you will need to roll a custom image or wait for next release

wrt freezing after 2.4 days, can you tell me the dhcp offer you get and the logs of when this expires ?

HA!  I was having issues with setting up my new box last night, couldn't figure out why I couldn't DHCP a WAN IP.... was clicking "release" and wasn't getting anywhere

I'll give this a try!  Smiley

I have to add to this.... I had to actually enter some kind of IP address (entered 111.111.111.111 & 111.111.111.112 Gateway), Save, then switch to DHCP, Save... for it to work

Since no one has said if it worked or not  Tongue

I tried it on mine, worked like a charm, could release and renew without any issues.
