i work at a college and we installed a m0n0wall router because we ran out of ip address's so now one of the classrooms is behind the router everything is working fine except a program called medisoft which connects to a sql database the problem is it cant find the database i can browse to the location and ive allowed all trafic to pass on both the lan and wan side can anyone please give me a suggestion on what might be causing this

Medisoft does not run on a sql server, its database is advantage database server.  You probably need to open and configure  a  port on the router and on the advantage. 

The program communicates with the database using TCP.
