Hi i just picked up an HP t5710 for use as a hotspot controller

http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/ca/en/sm/WF06b/12132708-12133552-12133552-12133552-12133560-12133572-29548923.html

used a bartpe disk to run physdiskwrite and load the disk image onto the 256mb internal flash.
booted the unit up loads m0n0 just fine. setup the internal NIC as LAN (vr0 (via rhine II)
setup a dlink card i have to wan (rl0 (530tx+)

set the ip range for 172.16.5.x with the m0n0 as .1 and the clients from 50-100 DHCP enabled

rebooted.

got nothing.

verified all the settings held and appear fine from console.

cannot ping the m0n0wall on the lan or wan interfaces (WAN is DHCP from 192.168.0.x)

cannot get dhcp on either interface.

staticly assigned laptop to 172.16.5.5 and tried pinging. no luck

reset to defaults assigned interfaces.. no luck in default ranges.

re-flashed the image.

loaded the xp-e image back to make sure all the nics work.. system work fine in xp no issues both nics can communicate.

flashed back to m0n0 1.31 and 1.30 no difference

So i need help!

I have this awsome little m0n0wall that seems to be running but it cannot communicate with the outside world.
i looked and the NICS are on the bsd list and they are seen by M0n0 it just cant talk with them!
