Since I upgraded my version of m0n0wall to 1.3 it seems that my PPTP VPN will not stay connected for more than 1 minute. The exact time varies slightly, the longest connect time was 8 minutes. Once the disconnect occurs I can no longer reconnect, it goes as far as verifying my username and password and then times out due to a lack of response from m0n0wall. How many hours I wait makes no difference. It requires me to reboot monowall in order to reconnect successfully.

When I upgraded from 1.235 to 1.3 I did not refresh or reconfigure any of my previous settings. I did not see any documentation on site telling me to and for the most part everything appeared to be working perfectly. All my other configurations and settings work as intended without any need for change. In case you need this info too I use a Soekris 4501 as my monowall appliance. It uses a 2GB CF card.

I updated to version 1.31 and it did not change things. The problem is still the same. My current PPTP VPN settings have worked well for me for the past 2 years with version 1.2xx of monowall so as far as I know that it was not a previous setting issue and my ISP has not changed anything, since a friend who has the same ISP and also uses Monowall (1.235) I can use his VPN all day long without issue. I use VPN extensively and have really come to depend on it, and need to connect to my home office.

Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this or is this a bug?

Update: I have confirmed this problem using Windows XP, Vista, 7 & Mac to access my VPN setup. After a few minutes it drops the connection and gives 2 types of errors. Either "Remote host not responding" or "Unknown protocol type".
