VPN

In the interest of streamlining the addition of new tunnels to the companies Ipsec vpn, I was wondering if anyone could help with a couple suggestions.

1) How can I find out which php commands/code is responsible for importing and exporting monowall.xml
2) Is there a clever way I can issue those commands to the mOnOwall without using the webgui?

We are running monowall with vmware.
