hi,

i'm trying for a couple of month now to establish a vpn ipsec between a virtual machine and the office without success.  my virtual machine is in a home network and behind a virtual mono.  i've been reading tons of documentation without success so far.

just to make it clear, my network looks this way :

internet --------- home gateway--------- VM(m0n0wall) --------- VM(Windows)
              inet IP                   192.168.1.0/24          192.168.100.0/24

and i'm trying to connect to the office

internet --------- m0n0wall(PC) --------- ...
          office inet ip                192.168.2.0/24

i went over this http://doc.m0n0.ch/handbook/ipsec-tunnels.html many times, and i'm not event sure there is a connection (it looks to ma as if it doesn't eve try to establish the connection)

PS i have configuration rights over the office's monowall (as well as mine, hopefully)

can anyone help me out here ?

i'm also trying the same exercise with cisco vpn client ...

thanks

You will probably need to forward some ports, or better yet, place your virtual home m0n0wall in a DMZ on your home gateway.  What hardware/software is your home gateway?
