Hello all,

Does anyone know if it's possible to forward multicast traffic over a PPTP VPN with m0n0wall? (or pfSense for that matter). I have a requirement for this for a VoIP scenario.

The IP phones have the Busy Box embedded Linux on them. Wrapped up in this is a PPTP client. I want to terminate these VPN's on a suitable server running m0n0wall or pfSense. The phones receive multicast updates from the IP PBX for several reasons and it is pretty imperative that they are able to receive the multicasts (and send multicasts for other IP PBX's) for this project to get off the ground.

As yet, I've been unable to confirm that either m0n0wall or pfSense will do this. Please can someone confirm or deny? If not perhaps you may be able to suggest an alternative firewall/VPN server to do the job?

Thank you, Matt Franks.
