I'd love to see the ability to create "service groups" so you could, for instance, make a group called "Common Services", throw http, https, ftp, smtp, etc. into a group and make one rule to pertain to the whole group.

This would really clean up the rules pages.

I think it would simply add confusion and make supporting monowall more difficult.

explicit, clear, and verbose rule pages are really not conducive to a "clean" rule page.

No, it would not. Groups can put a logical structure into a very large setup with over 100 rules. I am using ISA as well as m0n0wall and this is a feature that I am really missing.
