Sounds like you don't have the image name and path correct.

I used this in windows XP and you do not need to run from dos.  Simply drag image file and drop it on the physdiskwrite.exe.

I have also tried to write to CF card using physdiskwrite using both drag-and drop method as well as command line.  Everything seems to go okay(shows drive being written to), but when I check the contents of the CF card it shows empty.  Reformatted the card and tried everything again to no avail.  Am I doing something incorrect?  I'll try on my laptop to see if it will work on it.

It's going to show up empty to Windows, it's not a file system Windows can read.

Hello

I have a similar problem, when I use physdiskwrite it seems that the soft writes on the IDE drive ( led is on and the HD is activated) but after installing the drive in my "monowall PC"
(ASUS P55T2P4 board with Pentium 233Mhz ahd 133Mb ram) I get the message "Diskboot failure.....".
thanks for help

TINTIN,

You should start a new thread for this and include some more detail after checking your bios settings to see that your CF card is in fact recognised and in the boot device list.

Thank you, but I do't use a card I have only a hard disk (4.3GB) and in yhe bios I only use KB/HD/VGA . I do't find anything on HD after using physdiskwrite, with -u or without it's same result.
