Hi Guys,

Bit of a strange one,

I installed V1.3 on Hyper-V with 2 nics. “WAN” nic is on my primary network and the “LAN” nic is an isolated virtual network. After setup everything looks fine as I can see the internet and I’m still isolated from my primary network. My problem is when I reboot the monowall server I lose connectivity to everything and it does not automatically come back. It appears the only way to get it going again is by running the “Set up LAN IP address” again.

Anyone ever seen this before?

Any help would be much appreciated

PS: Its a local install and not running from the iso or cd  Cheesy

That's a quirk with Hyper-V and the old FreeBSD base version that m0n0wall uses. The only version of FreeBSD that works reliably without any NIC quirks in Hyper-V is 8.x, so the next m0n0wall release based on 8 will fix that. Not sure when we'll see that available. In the mean time you may want to look at pfSense 2.0 which is based on FreeBSD 8.1.

Hi, I'm trying to use Microsoft Hyper-v 2012 and m0n0wall version 1.34 and I have the exact same problem as in the first message. Still can not be used in a virtual machine?
