Captive Portal

Hi. I am wanting to have users of our hotspot see a landingpage with ads, etc before they are allowed to freely surf when using our connection. I don't want to require them to log in or anything. Can I just redirect them to a page on our existing website using the URL redirection? Or should I create the page using HTML and use the portal page option? If the portal page option is what I should use, do I need to include the (POST to "$PORTAL_ACTION$") etc that it lists in the portal page contents directions, if I am not going to have the users log in?
